Drawing upon the author's long-term study of FIFA's history and politics, this chapter takes selected cases of conflicts of interests of FIFA committee members and amoral practices of FIFA officers to demonstrate the embedded nature of collusion and corruption in its modus operandi, and its intensification under the leadership of the president up to 2015, Sepp Blatter. It is also argued that FIFA must be understood as peopled, as a constellation of human actors, not merely a flawed model of global sport governance explained only by institutional analyses and typologies
